Greater Binghamton Airport has been awarded a grant of close to $960,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration.  The grant will be used to improve the airport's terminal building and enhance security at the airport.

The news was released today by U.S. Reperesentative Richard Hanna.  According to Representative Hanna the project includes the installation of new surveillance equipment and electronic access doors.  Money from the grant will also be used to fund the replacement of the existing terminal baggage carousel.
