The Albany Great Danes men's and women's basketball teams swept the Binghamton Bearcats last night at SEFCU Arena at the University of Albany.  In the first game Albany kept its America East record perfect with a 69-41 romp over BU.  Albany ups its conference record to 9-0 and overall mark to 18-3.  the Bearcats fall to 3-6 in America East play and 4-18 overall.

Ebone Henry hit for a game-high 22 points to pace the Great Danes while Sherae Swinson scored 12 points to pace BU.  Mallory Lawes also notched double figures with 10 points.  The Bearcats women travel to Hartford to face the Hawks Wednesday at 7 PM (6:50 PM on 1360 AM WYOS).

In the nightcap Albany broke a three-game losing streak with a 79-46 romp over the BU men.  The Great Danes (17-7 and 6-4 in AE)

held the Bearcats (3-19 and 1-8 in AE)  to just 14 points in the first half.  Binghamton's defense was unable to shutdown the Great Danes as they hit on 55% of their shots and 11 of 23 three-point shots.

For BU Jordan Reed and Brian Freeman led the scoring with 14 points each.  Freeman, a 6-8 Jr. forward  made his second start of the season and responded with his highest offensive output.  He has hit for double figures in two of his last three games. Reed, a freshman, has scored in double figures in 19 of his 20 games as a Bearcat.
