A 41-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl in the Town of Sanford three years ago is among six people indicted by a Broome County Grand Jury.

41-year-old Jermaine Laurino is under indictment for felony counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, two counts of rape and criminal sexual act as well as misdemeanor forcible touching and five misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Prosecutors say Laurino is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl between December of 2013 and January 2014 and forcibly raping the teen last November.  He’s also accused of touching the intimate parts of a 15-year-old girl.

Also associated with the case, 32-year-old Claudia Gainza was indicted on five counts of endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly acting with Laurino in some of the instances involving the two teens.

Also indicted were 35-year-old Abdul Covington on 5 drug counts, criminal nuisance and resisting arrest, 29-year-old Matthew Daniels on 6 drug-related counts, 30-year-old Orialis Brooks on felony promoting prison contraband and evidence tampering as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance while 19-year-old Derrias Robinson was indicted for felony assault.
