February 5 is National Go Red Day.  Organized by the American Heart Association and Go Red For Women, the day honors the work being done to combat heart disease and stroke.

One in three women dies from heart disease and stroke.  Heart disease and stroke have often been thought of as men's diseases.  Research and statistics show that is not accurate.

People were asked to wear red to show support for the Go Red for Women campaign. Go Red For Women is nationally sponsored by Macy's.  To become involved in the fight against heart disease and stroke visit:
