Two teenage girls have been arrested in connection with a fire that damaged playground equipment at an Endicott park.

Authorities say the suspects are 13 and 15 years old. They've each been charged with fifth-degree arson, a misdemeanor.

According to Endicott police, the girls are suspected of setting fire to playground equipment at the North Side Park on Oak Hill Avenue.

The October 22 blaze was extinguished by Endicott firefighters. Investigators say the equipment sustained minor damage.

The girls were issued appearance tickets for Broome County Family Court.
