Broome County's Otsiningo Park is just about ready for the 29th annual Spiediefest and Balloon Rally which begins Friday and continues through Sunday.  Over 100,000 visitors are expected to attend.

Opening ceremonies are set for 6:00 PM Friday.  Members of the United States Armed Services will be honored.  Veterans and military personnel will get free admission on Friday with a Broome County Veterans Discount Card.  Cards are free and can be obtained at the Broome County Clerk's Office on the third floor of the Broome County Office Building.

Many of the tents for vendors and businesses are already in place. The Spiediefest opens at 3:00 PM Friday.  Following the 6:00 PM opening ceremonies there is a scheduled Balloon Launch.  Then at 7:30 PM Night Ranger will entertain.  The group is best known for their hits like "Sister Christian"  and "When You Close Your Eyes".

On Saturday long-time New York Yankee standout Roy White will sign autographs from 11 AM - 2 PM.  There will be a Car Show throughout the late morning and early afternoon.  Country music star LeAnn Rimes is set to perform at 5 PM.  On Sunday there will be a Sand Volleyball Tournament beginning at 8 AM.  At 9:30 AM the Kelly LaBare 5K Road Race/Walk will be held.

On Sunday afternoon the Spiedie Cooking Contest begins a 1:00 PM.  Then at 2:00 PM Emily Osment and Keegan Allen will be in concert.  There is a Sunday evening Balloon Launch at 6:30 PM and the 2013 Spiediefest closes at 8:30 PM.
