Dillon Gee worked 6.1 innings in his rehab start in Binghamton May 27 giving up two earned runs in a 3-2 loss to the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium.  Gee was on a 100 pitch limit and mixed in breaking balls with fastballs that consistently hit the upper 80's.  Gee headed back to New York following his appearance and expects to be inserted into the parent Mets starting rotation by early next week.

Gee was on the disabled list for several weeks after suffering a groin strain.  He threw 93 pitches for St. Lucie in a game last week.  Gee pitched in four games with Binghamton in the 2008 season when he was working his way up the baseball ladder.  He went 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA during that stay.
