The Tennessee Gas Pipeline is being cited for illegal dumpsites in Susquehanna,Wayne, Pike and Potter Counties.

Pennsylvania Environmental Protection officials say the pipeline company will pay a $210,000 penalty, bankroll a program to clean up the dump sites at a cost of $540,000 and pay $50,000 in recovery costs.

The DEP says the company failed to keep sediment from running into streams during the construction of the pipeline in 2011 and 2012.

While the company noted that some of the spill was the result from damage during the historic 2011 flood, it said it was cooperating with the DEP in the cleanup.
