The annual Garlic Festival continues until 5 this afternoon and then runs tomorrow from 11-5 at the American Civic Association at 131 Front Street in Binghamton.  The Festival features an ethnic food court, entertainment and numerous vendors.with of course the featured item....garlic !

A nice turnout was on-hand as the Garlic Festival opened this morning.  Many enjoyed lunch featuring items like garlic pulled pork, hummus, spinach pie, holupki, sloppy joe's and even garlic ice cream !

A number of visitors left with bags of garlic they had purchased for cooking and seasoning and vendors said the season has been a good one for growing garlic. Many enjoyed menu items and garlic treats inside at the Food Court while others enjoyed dining outside under a big tent and listening to the musical entertainment.

There is a $2 admission charge for adults with a $1 charge for children and children under 5 get in free.  There is also a book sale going on just inside the American Civic Association entrance.
