A Utica man is being charged in Broome County as a felony fugitive from justice.

Sheriff’s Deputies say they stopped a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 88 in the Town of Fenton last week and found the driver had a suspended license.

Officials say during their investigation, they found passenger, 36 year old Amado Charles was wanted in Pennsylvania for the armed robbery of over $20,000 in merchandise from an Allentown jewelry store.

He was to be extradited to Pennsylvania to face charges in the robbery.

The driver, Hector Rivera of Utica was ticketed and ordered to appear in Town of Fenton Court at a later date.
