A trio of Binghamton University freshmen have garnered plenty of playing time in the team's first three games and the results have been solid.  In Wednesday's come-from-behind victory over Cornell the trio played like rookies in the first half and like seasoned veterans in the second half.

Guard Marlon Beck scored 27 points to top all scorers in the game.  Forward Nick Madray hit 5 three -point shots and scored 23 points.  Madray came into the game averaging 15.5 points per game and was selected as the America East Rookie of the Week announced on Monday.  Point-guard Yosef Yacob  made 7-8 free throws and was able to deal out 9 assists for the night.

Magnus Richards has been a starter so far in the first three games at forward.  Last night the 6-7 forward from Silver Springs, Md saw duty in 17 minutes of action going 1-4 from the floor with one block.  At some points in the game the Bearcats had Richards, Madray, Yacob and Beck on the court with sophomore Jordan Reed.  Four freshmen and a sophomore at one time !  Impressive for the future of Bearcats' Basketball.  They will try and lead their team to another win Saturday when BU hosts Navy at 2 PM at the Events Center (1:50 airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
