Union-Endicott High School has honored legendary football and tennis coach Fran Angeline with the opening of the Fran Angeline Fieldhouse at Ty Cobb Stadium.  The building was destroyed in the 2011 Flood and has been completely rebuilt and raised to a level equal to the top levels of seating at the stadium.

Funding for the project came from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Office of Emergency Management.  Inside the new building are varsity and junior varsity locker rooms, a training room, video meeting room and coaches offices.  Also included is an observation deck, concession stand and public restrooms.

The new Fieldhouse is named in honor of Fran Angeline who served as the Tigers Head Football Coach from 1960 - 1992.  One of the winningest coaches in New York State history, Coach Angeline has a lifetime coaching record of 196-73-7.  He was named National "Coach of the Year" in 1979 and New York State "Coach of the Year" in 1979 and 1989.  His teams were the top-ranked team in New York State both of those years.

The Fran Angeline Fieldhouse will be open for the public to tour following this Saturday's Homecoming Parade down Washington Avenue which begins at 11 AM.  The  opening will recognized prior to Saturday night's home game versus Vestal at 8 PM.  Due to health issues Coach Angeline will not be able to attend Saturday's game and the official dedication ceremony will be held with him in attendance at a later date.
