July 4th is closer than it seems! Where will you and your family and friends be this Independence Day? We’ve gathered events from all over the Southern Tier and Central New York to give you the best and broadest options for fireworks and fun!

  • Highland Park July 4th Extravaganza

    When: July 4, 2017

    Where: Highland Park- 801 Hooper Road, Endwell‚ NY 13760 / (607) 786-2973

    What: Kids Triathlon, food vendors, arts & crafts, entertainment, chicken bar-b-que, fun festivities for the family and a spectacular fireworks display.

  • Fireworks Over the Fairgrounds

    When: July 4, 2017- 10am-10pm

    Where: Chenango County Fairgrounds, 168 East Main Street, Norwich, NY, 13815

    What: Gates open 3pm, followed by a concert by country singer Ashton Shephard at 4pm. Also performing will be Cassidy Lynn, Kaitlynn Jackson, Jason Wicks, and High Voltage. There will be food, vendors, kids arts and crafts, games, and fireworks at dusk.

    Admission: $10 advance sale, $15 at the gate.

    Children under 12 free.

  • Ithaca Community Fireworks

    When: July 3, 2017

    Where: Stewart Park, Ithaca, NY 14850

    What: Ithaca will celebrate the Fourth of July a day early. The Friends of Stewart Park along with the City of Ithaca is bringing back this free to attend event. There will be music, food, activities, and fireworks.

  • Evening Concert & Fireworks

    When: July 4, 2017

    Where: Glimmerglass State Park, Cooperstown

    What: An evening concert at Glimmerglass State Park featuring the Kenesaw Mountain Boys at 7:30pm followed by a fireworks display at dusk.

  • 101st Annual Springfield 4th of July Parade & Firework Display

    When: Saturday, July 4, 2017

    Where: Springfield Center, 137 County Road 29a, Springfield, NY 13486

    What: The Springfield 4th of July Celebration kicks at 11am with a parade in Springfield Center.  Following the parade, there will be music, food, a quilt show and more at the Springfield Community Center.

  • Hornell 4th of July Celebration

    When: July 4, 2017

    Where: Veteran's Memorial Park, Park Dr, Hornell, NY 14843

    What: There will be a parade starting at 12pm on Main Street. At the park, expect vendors all day. The pool will be open from 11am-5pm and a fireworks display will close the night at dark.

  • Binghamton Rumble Ponies

    When: July 3, 2017

    What: Fireworks on Independence Eve as the Binghamton Rumble Ponies take on the Harrisburg Senators.

  • Candor July 4th Celebration

    When: Sunday, June 25th through Monday, July 4th at 8pm.

    Where: Most all events are held at Candor Ballpark on Rte.96/Spencer Avenue.

    What: Every year, Candor has a 4th of July celebration with a parade, fireworks, a carnival with rides, and other community events. See the full schedule of events here.

  • Candor Community Chorus Concert

    Where: Candor High School Auditorium, 2 Academy Street, Candor.

    When: Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 7pm.

  • Cortland Reading of the United States Declaration of Independence

    Where: Center for the Arts, 72 South Main Street in Home.

    When: July 4, 2017 at 10am

    What: Admission is free and anyone who wants to read a short portion of the Declaration, will be able. Following the reading, bells in the churches and other buildings surrounding the Green will be rung 50 times.

  • Thompson Fourth of July Celebration

    When: July 1, 2017

    Where: Thompson Hose Company, 53 Water Street, Thompson, PA

    What: Parade at 11:30am, chicken BBQ at 11am with food, games, music, drinks, and fireworks at 10pm.

    *Rain date for fireworks is Sunday, July 1st.
