A former employee of the Good Shepherd Village at Endwell is expected to be sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

34 year old Tanya Johnson of Greene was employed as a licensed practical nurse when a patient she was bathing in October fell and suffered abrasions to his back.

Prosecutors said Johnson did not get help for the man and later submitted a written statement to the facility saying nothing had happened.

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Johnson later admitted that she failed to follow nursing home policy when both she and the patient fell and she noticed injuries to the man.

She had earlier been charged with felony counts that could have carried a sentence of several years in jail.
