Former Broome Republican Chair Remembered

The former Chair of the Broome County Republican Committee is being remembered for his passion about his community.

79 year old Joseph (Joe) Laughney of Endicott passed away at his home on October 6.

Family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home at 511-513 East Main St., Endicott from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. October 11.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Octobber 12 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Ambrose Church at 10:30.

The family requests that donations in memory of Laughney be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Laughney was a frequent volunteer with the Broome County Veterans’ Memorial Association, attending veterans’ funerals as part of the Honor Guard.  He, himself was a veteran of the Korean War were he served in the Marine Corps.
