If you’ve been tardy in returning borrowed materials from the Broome County Public Library, you could be getting a break on any fines you owe through the end of the month.

The library is again offering its Food for Fines program that gives borrowers a dollar off their fines for each non-perishable food item donated to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.

Even if you don’t owe a fine, residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the library on Court Street in Binghamton to be donated to CHOW.
