The Binghamton Mets had their chances but could not deliver the goods as the Richmond Flying Squirrels topped them 2-1 in ten innings May 13 in Richmond. The Flying Squirrels took the rubber game in the series when Mitch Delfino hit an RBI single to plate the winning tally in the bottom of the tenth inning.

The B-Mets went 0-7 with runners in scoring position and stranded a season-high 15 runners overall.  Binghamton loaded the bases in the top of the tenth but could not plate a run.  Matt Koch took the loss in relief for Binghamton and falls to 1-2 on the season.  Jose Casilla earned the win in relief and evens his slate at 1-1.

Gabriel Ynoa had a strong start for Binghamton.  He gave up a run and three hits in seven innings pitched.  The B-Mets return home to host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in a four-game series beginning May 14 at 6:35 p.m. with Luis Cessa as the scheduled starter in that game.
