If you are traveling through Binghamton's West Side don't be shocked if you see a rather unique lawn ornament adorning a a former Binghamton Mayor and current Seton Catholic Central Principal's lawn.  Seton students are conducting a fund-raiser to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and the first residence to get such a "decoration" is Richard Bucci's.  The students are placing brightly- colored purple porcelain toilets on lawns around the region and their principal's residence is at the top of the list.

Homeowners have to make a contribution to Relay for Life in order to get the toilet taken away.

Bucci's lawn was a prime location for the new "lawn look".  Seton Catholic Central will host its third Relay for Life on May 15 and 16.  Seton was the first high school in our area to serve as a host for a relay event.
