A Florida man is accused of fooling a Towanda woman into believing he owned someone else’s house in Towanda Township, then stealing the homeowner's jeep.

Pennsylvania State Police say the victim got home at around 7 p.m. January 31 and found someone had gotten into his house and stole his Jeep Wrangler from the property.

The man located his stolen jeep along Plank Road and there were two people in it.  Troopers say 42 year old Jeffrey Martin of At. Augustine is charged with felony burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property as well as unauthorized use of the vehicle.

Martin was taken to the Bradford County Jail on $200,000 bail.

Investigators say they determined the woman with Martin didn’t know the vehicle she got into was being stolen and she is not charged.
