Florida Fugitive Found In Johnson City

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

Johnson City police say officers tracked down a woman wanted in Florida after a complaint of suspicious activity in a parking lot.

Authorities say police received a report of a man and woman going through cars in the lot outside the Walmart store on Gannett Drive.

Investigating officers found 23-year-old Sadia Ayub of Palm Bay, Florida, along with a man matching the description provided by the caller.

Police say they determined Ayub was wanted for fraud on a warrant issued in Brevard County.

Authorities say there were no signs that any vehicles in the store parking lot had been entered.
