Floral Ave. Arson House For Sale

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A building that was the scene of a deadly arson fire in Johnson City last October is up for sale.

The Floral Avenue apartment building where four year old Joshua Maxwell and three year old Michael Maxwell died October 19 is on the local real estate listings.

The children died when their mother and her friend were unable to get them out of the burning building.

27 year old Erica Lynn and 28 year old Jessica Baxter were seriously hurt in the blaze.

Baxter’s former boyfriend, 38 year old Dwight Burton of Johnson City is charged with arson, murder, attempted murder and other counts.

The large, wood-frame apartment house sustained extensive damage and did not appear to have any external fire escapes.

The structure has been boarded up since the fire.
