Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Flash flooding resulted in the evacuation of some residents of Susquehanna County.

Fast-moving water Thursday evening caused problems in Choconut, Brackney and Friendsville.

Some road washouts were reported. A section of State Route 267 north of Route 706 was closed for a time.

The National Weather Service office at Greater Binghamton Airport reported some parts of Susquehanna County sustained "pretty extensive damage" because of excessive rainfall late Thursday.

Penelec reported some power outages. Customers in Birchardville, Montrose and St. Joseph were without electric service early this morning.
