Following tomorrow's 12:05 game in New Hampshire many of the Binghamton Mets players will take a couple of days off for the Eastern League All-Star break.  But for five B-Mets standouts they will head to New Britain, Connecticut for Wednesday's All-Star game.

Cesar Puello, Allan Dykstra, Josh Rodriguez, Logan Verrett and Jeff Walters have been selected to play in the game at New Britain.  Puello, Dykstra and Rodriguez have been in the top-ten in batting average throughout much of the Eastern League season.  Verrett is at the top of the wins column in the EL with eight.  Walters has been Binghamton's ace out of the bullpen and currently leads the league with 22 saves.

Following the two-day break the B-Mets will host the Portland Sea Dogs in a five-game series at NYSEG Stadium. The first two games will be played as part of a double-header on Thursday, July 11 beginning at 5:35 PM (airtime at 5:20 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The first game will complete a game suspended in Portland on June 25th after two scoreless innings.  That will be a nine inning game.  The second game will be seven innings.
