Firefighters Collect Supplies for Hurricane Sandy Victims

Donations of items needed by the victims of Hurricane Sandy are being accepted Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at all four fire stations in Vestal, the Apalachin Fire Station on Pennsylvania Avenue, the Endwell Fire Station on Country Club Road as well as the Oakdale Mall across from Ruby Tuesday's.

Donations are also being accepted daily at the fire stations on Madison Avenue in Endicott and on Harry L. Drive in Johnson City.

Most needed items include cleaning supplies, paper products, blankets, pillows, bottled water, baby needs, personal hygiene products, non-perishable food, rubber gloves, masks and pet food.

Checks can also be made out the VFD Relief Fund and mailed to 135 Brown Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
