A Tioga County couple is homeless after fire tore through their home in the Town of Owego.

Dozens of firefighters were called to the single family house on Dutchtown Road shortly before noon May 5th and found the structure fully engulfed in flames.

Eight fire departments responded to the scene.

Winds spread the fire to nearby foliage and crews had to divide their attention between putting out the house fire and extinguishing the brush fire.

There were no reports of injuries.
