Delaware County Fire Investigators and Fire Coordinators in the region are looking into the cause of a blaze at a popular Delaware County restaurant that destroyed the business.

Firefighters from at least a half dozen companies in Delaware County, N.Y. and Wayne County, Pa. were called to the Blue Stone Grill at 56 West Main Street, Hancock at around 10:30 p.m. August 29.

Less than two hours later, the roof to the restaurant had started to cave in, driving firefighters away from their interior attack.

Crews from Hancock, Deposit, Walton and East Branch in New York and Northern Wayne and Equinunk in Pennsylvania were on the scene for hours.

There were no reports of injuries and emergency services officials had said they believed the business was closed for the day before the fire was reported.
