Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Fire investigators are sifting through a former church in Endicott following a two-alarm call at 2:01 a.m. September 4.

The blaze at the building on Jefferson Avenue, which has apparently been re-purposed, kept firefighters from Endicott and Endwell busy for hours and authorities have indicated that the investigation was, in their words, “complicated.”

At one point, the Endicott Police bomb squad had been called in.

Residents around the fire scene were evacuated as a precaution.

There were no reports of injuries.
