Fiery Crash Claims One In Dimock

A woman is dead in a fiery crash in Susquehanna County.

Pennsylvania State Police say the 64 year old was driving on State Route 29 in Dimock Township at 12:04 p.m. July 27 when she failed to negotiate a curve.

Troopers say the woman’s car hit a utility pole, severing it. The Lexus then hit two trees and began to roll over coming to a rest in a field on the east side of the road where it burst into flames and burned significantly.

The woman, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
