Tonight marks the end of the 47th Annual Johnson City Field Days at Northside Park on Harry L. Drive.  Jeff Nyschot's Groove will play from 6-9 PM followed by fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM.

There is no admission fee to get into the Field Days but there is a fee for food and rides.  Dry weather helped boost the crowd Friday and Saturday but rain plagued the area for much of the afternoon yesterday.

There are rides for children and plenty of vendors for great food.  Proceeds from the four-day event benefit many local non-profit organizations.  Johnson City Field Days mark the traditional end to the summer festival season.  Many area schools begin classes Wednesday.  Binghamton University and SUNY Broome start their Fall semester tomorrow.
