A Johnson City man faces several felony counts after police confiscated a variety of drugs and suspected drug sale proceeds found in a village home.

Authorities say 36-year-old Samuel Pomales was arrested following the execution of a search warrant on Sergeant Street Friday morning.

Investigators say they found 106 bags of heroin, more than 6 grams of bulk heroin and 14 grams of fentanyl. They also seized $22,196, narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including bags and digital scales.

More substances were collected as evidence. Police say they will be tested at a lab and more charges are expected.

Pomales was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The arrest was made by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force.
