With Christmas fast approaching and the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season people are preparing to spend time with family and friends.  For those families separated by jobs, military service or other issues the holiday period can be stressful.

Most people whether they are with family or friends still will look forward to a favorite holiday tradition.  It may be meeting for a  Christmas dinner.  Perhaps a meal on Christmas Eve ?  Many now plan on dining out and enjoying some "down time" without the worry of cooking and baking.

For many though Christmas Eve and Christmas Day still revolve around meeting at the home of parents or grandparents.  Cousins, aunts, uncles and close family friends come from all over to meet again.

In our family when I was growing up Christmas Eve  would be spent attending a Church service and then home to shake and inspect all the gifts under the tree.  Sometimes I would fall asleep under the tree hoping the night would go faster and maybe even see Santa come down that chimney

after midnight !

It was amazing as I look back on those past Christmas mornings how easy it was to get up before daylight....much easier than these days ! The excitement of Christmas Day is still vivid in my memory.  I hope it is in yours.  We wish all of you a most blessed and joyous Christmas season !
