Fatal Stabbing in Cortland Investigated

A Cortland man is dead following a stabbing in the parking lot of a bar on Elm Street November 29.

Cortland Police responded to the Palms Garden Bar at 12:06 a.m. and found 31 year old Terry Wormuth the second stabbed in the torso.

He later died at Cortland Regional Medical Center.

58 year old Mark Dill of Cranston, Rhode Island is charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the two men had gotten into an argument outside the bar but it is not clear if the pair knew each other prior to the altercation.

Dill was sent to the Cortland County Jail.
