Fatal Shooting Investigated in Norwich

City of Norwich Police are investigating an accidental shooting at 6:07 p.m. December 1 that has left one person dead.

Police say the Chenango County Sheriff's Dispatch Center had received the initial report of the shooting at a home on Division Street.

The Norwich Police and Fire Department responded and found a female with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital where she later succumbed to the injuries.
