Fatal Motorcycle/Farm Tractor Crash in Walton

A Norwich woman is dead after Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say the motorcycle on which she was a passenger tried to pass a farm tractor making a left turn on State Highway 206 in the Town of Walton July 30.

67 year old Nancy Cushman was pronounced dead at the scene after the motorcycle driven by 70 year old James Cushman collided with the farm tractor in a no-passing zone.

James Cushman suffered serious injuries, was taken to Delaware Valley Hospital before being airlifted to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Investigators say there was a woman driving a white sport utility vehicle in the area at the time of the collision and they would like to talk to her as well as anyone else with information.  People can call Sheriff’s Investigators at (607) 832-5555.
