Fatal Guilford Fire Was Intentionally Set

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say a fire in the Town of Guilford Sunday night, where a man was found dead, was intentionally set.

An autopsy performed at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton has found the occupant set the fire then shot himself. The man died of smoke inhalation.

Authorities have not officially identified the man, but relatives had said the deceased is 57 year old Rick Baker, who lived in the double-wide trailer on Joslyn Road.
