Fatal Crash Investigation in Spencer

New York State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Tioga County that claimed the life of a high school senior from Niagara County.Investigators say 18 year old Michael Dmochowski of Lockport was driving south on Route 96 in Spencer near the intersection of Fisher Settlement Road at around 9:30 p.m. March 20 when State Police say he sideswiped a northbound vehicle.

Dmochowsi was killed in the crash while a person in the other vehicle suffered a leg injury.

The heavily-traveled Route 96/34 was closed for several hours.
