Over 5,000 family members  and students are expected to take part in Family Weekend activities on campus at Binghamton University this weekend.  There are plenty of events scheduled including athletic events, open houses, faculty lectures and campus tours.

Families can register for a variety of activities by going to Old Union Hall in the University Union on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until noon.  There will be on-campus dining options and information on hotel accommodations available at registration.  Campus parking passes will be available for the weekend as well.

A big part of the weekend will involves sports activities both on and off campus.  The Bearcats Sports Complex will be the site of a pair of soccer matches.  On Saturday the BU men host the New Hampshire Wildcats at 2:00 P.M.  The Bearcats opened America East play last weekend with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Hartford Hawks.  New Hampshire heads into the weekend with a 6-1-1 record and ranked 23rd in the nation.

Then Sunday the BU women entertain the Maine Black Bears at noon.  Binghamton traveled to UMBC on Thursday night and came away with a 3-0 victory.  Also on Sunday Binghamton's golf team hosts the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational Golf Tournament at the Links at Hiawatha.  Competition gets underway on Sunday morning and continues through Monday.
