United Health Care is donating $55,000 to the Cornell University 4H Youth Development program to support information for families to help them tackle hunger issues.

The 4H Food Smart Families Program is being launched at the Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School in Binghamton.

Officials say students and community leaders will participate in training sessions to learn about food, how to secure it, use it and cook it as well as how to make better choices that enhance health and well-being.
