The New York State I Love NY website has started posting a weekly Fall Color Report using information from field observers.

Colors in the Adirondacks region are nearing peak, according to observers for Empire State Development's I LOVE NEW YORK program, with midpoint color appearing in the Catskills.  Delaware County observers were also anticipating 50% this week.

In Central New York, spotters expect midpoint to near peak this week in Herkimer County and Oneida County. Chenango County, as of the last update a few days ago, noted 35% change, Otsego County, about 30% and Broome and Madison counties, 25%.

The Finger Lakes counties, including Tompkins, Schuyler and Onondaga, down to Tioga were reporting 30% color change.

Officials say the foliage report is issued every Wednesday afternoon and can be found at www.fallgetaways.iloveny.com/LANDING_FOLIAGE_REEPORT.html.
