Kathy Whyte/ WNBF News

A tip to the Broome County Sheriff’s face book page has lead to the arrest of a Town of Union man in connection with the theft of a phone from the Verizon Wireless store on Main Street, Endwell.

Officials say 32 year old David Curtis of Endwell is accused of stealing the $600 phone and damaging the device as he tried to remove the SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card.

Curtis is charged with criminal mischief and petit larceny.

He was ordered to appear in Town of Union Court at a later date.
