Expensive Tools Stolen From Cortland County Business

Thousands of dollars worth of equipment was reported taken from a business in the Town of Homer.

Authorities say heavy-duty hand tools and power tools were stolen from Homer Iron Works on Route 11.

According to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department, the missing items have an estimated value of $25,000.

Investigators say the business was forcibly entered sometime last night or this morning. The burglary was discovered just prior to the opening of business today.

No similar incidents have been reported recently in the area.
