Join us in celebrating our local educators and Winter recess with daily tours, where you will have a chance to explore and discover the Museum and life on Earth in different ways.
Each tour covers topics our education programs cover: Reef and Coral Evolution, Plant Evolution, Dinosaurs, Ice Age and Glaciers, and Fossils & Strange animals that once lived on Earth. Teachers get in free!
Feb 20: Reef and Coral Evolution: Walk through the history of reefs on Earth and discover how corals and reefs change with time and climate.
Feb 21: Botany through the Ages: How did plants change as the world changed? What influences did plants have on animals through time? Discover why the bottom of the food chain is so important to life on Earth.
Feb 22: Dinosaurs Rulers of the Mesozoic: Dinosaurs ruled the Earth during the middle part of Earth’s history. Why then does NY not have any Dinosaur fossils, at least no bones? What made them so dominant and what lived alongside the Dinosaurs?
Feb 23: Ice Age Life: What was the climate and animals like in New York during the Ice Age? Find out about climate changes through time, what the glaciers did to Central NY, and the animals that lived around them.
Feb 24: Fossils — Huge, Scary, Hairy: What kinds of weird animals and plants lived on Earth? Travel through time to learn about the strange creatures that inhabited the Earth.
