In connection with our temporary exhibition, Into the Depths: Marine Paintings by Stanley Meltzoff, game fish author Michael Rivkin and Cornell University EAS Professor Dr. Bruce Monger will talk about topics related to the deep sea. These talks will combine art and science by connecting Meltzoff’s art with conservation efforts in deep sea ecosystems.
Mr. Rivkin will present a talk on the history of deep sea sport fishing and Dr. Monger will discuss the impacts of climate change on oceans, touching on a broad range of impacts (primary production, coral reefs, and shifts in the distribution of fish population).
