ESPN Host Tony Kornheiser on WNBF and Binghamton Bearcats Basketball

ESPN host Tony Kornheiser was a guest on Saturday night’s Binghamton Bearcats men’s basketball broadcast with Roger Neel at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  Kornheiser, a 1970 graduate of Harpur College and one of ESPN’s most popular personalities, came to watch his alma mater play the Retrievers at the Retrievers Athletic Center.

Kornheiser earned a degree in English at Harpur College, now Binghamton University and graduated in 1970.  While attending Harpur College he wrote for the campus newspaper “The Colonial Times”, now known as Pipe Dream.  After graduation Kornheiser began his professional career at Newsday and then moved to the New York Times and Washington Post.  Kornheiser has authored three books as well.

Kornheiser hosts his own daily radio show in Washington, D.C. and is co-host with Michael Wilbon weeknights on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption where he often speaks about Binghamton Bearcats athletics and displays Bearcats souvenirs and merchandise.
