Engine Fluid Spray Leads To Arrest of Owego Man
A Tioga County man faces traffic and weapon charges after police noticed engine fluid spraying from his vehicle.
Authorities say 37-year-old Luke Tarbox of Owego was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
According to state police, a trooper pulled over the vehicle Tarbox was driving on Route 17C in the Town of Owego.
The trooper initiated the traffic stop after observing fluid coming from the vehicle.
A check revealed Tarbox had a suspended driver's license.
Before the vehicle was towed, a search revealed Tarbox unlawfully possessed a gravity knife. He was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and traffic violations.
Tarbox was arraigned in Owego town court and released on his own recognizance.
