An Endwell man is facing a dozen counts after Broome County Sheriff’s officials say he lied about his name then tried to flee from officers.

27 year old David Wesser was pulled over on Day Hollow Road.

When a second Deputy arrived for back-up, Wesser reportedly sped off, leading Deputies through side streets in the West Endicott area before fleeing his pickup truck when he ended up on a dead-end street.

An officer from the Endicott Police, who arrived to assist, tasered Wesser, who was then taken into custody.

Authorities say they also found he was wanted on a felony burglary warrant out of Johnson City.

Among the charges filed against Wesser:  unlawfully fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, driving without a license, speeding and four counts of running a stop sign.

Wesser was sent to the Broome County Jail.
