Endwell Man Charged With DWI

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested an Endwell man for felony drunk driving after a homeowner in the Town of Barker found a strange vehicle in his driveway and the driver asleep in the front seat.

26 year old William Taylor allegedly sped off after the homeowner on Hyde Street woke him up at around 5 a.m. May 28, driving across the lawn and crashing into a ditch.

Deputies say Taylor told them he was trying to turn around and ended up in the ditch.

Officials say Taylor's blood alcohol content was measured at .13%.

There were no injuries and Taylor's vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Barker Court at a later date.
