Endicott Woman Dies After Collision
A crash during a snowstorm in western Broome County resulted in the death of an Endicott woman.
Authorities say 34-year-old Heather Shaw died at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City shortly after the car she was driving collided with a pickup truck.
State police say the crash happened shortly before 3:30 Monday afternoon on Day Hollow Road in the town of Union, near the Broome-Tioga county line.
Investigators say Shaw was driving a 2004 Chrysler westbound on Day Hollow Road when she apparently lost control of the vehicle on a slight curve.
The car veered into the eastbound lane into the path of a 2009 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Kurtis Hogdin of Binghamton.
State police say a crash investigation was ongoing.
