Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Broome County Sheriff’s officials say an Endicott woman gave them a fake name when they stopped to help on a report of a disabled vehicle on Route 17 East in the Village of Johnson City.

Deputies say shortly before 2 a.m. October 30 they found the vehicle on the highway and 43 year old Christy Mathews gave false information, reportedly in an attempt to avoid prosecution on an active warrant for her arrest.

She’s charged with criminal impersonation and was ordered to appear in Johnson City Court at a later date.
