An Endicott man is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief following an incident shortly after 3:30 a.m. March 2nd on Washington Avenue in the village.Village police got a report from a group of people at the Guzzling Goose Bar on the Avenue about a car break-in.  A woman said she heard her car alarm go off and had gotten into her vehicle to shut it off when she heard a noise in the back seat and her rear window being broken out.

35 year old David Stacconi Jr. was reportedly seen climbing out of the smashed window. He ran toward McKinley Avenue.

A friend of the victim gave chase and held Stacconi until authorities arrived.

When the friend released Stacconi to police, the suspect reportedly attempted to flee again and was taken into custody after being tasered by a sheriff's deputy.

Police say Stacconi, who is a level three sex offender, had a box cutter in his possession.

In addition to the weapon possession and criminal mischief charges, Stacconi is charged with resisting arrest.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
